Joyce Leary Clark grew up on a small dairy farm in Saco. She graduated from Thornton Academy, Harvard University, and the University of Maine School of Law. She practiced in Scarborough, first with Picher & Barrett and later as Scarborough Legal Center until September of 2014, when the building where her office was located, Scarborough Common, burned down. She joined Prescott Jamieson Murphy Law Group in March of 2015.

Joyce is the president of the Kiwanis Club of Scarborough.  She has been a member of the club since 1997.  She also interviews students for admission to Harvard as a volunteer with the Harvard Club in Maine.  In 2013, she was honored by the Katahdin Counsel Recognition Program for volunteering over 50 hours of pro bono legal work in one year, through the Volunteer Lawyers Project and MASH (Maine Attorneys Saving Homes).    

Joyce and her husband, Edward Clark, live in Saco with their two children.

Penny Kacere, legal assistant, has worked with Joyce since 1990.  Penny and her husband live in Scarborough, where they enjoy playing tennis, swimming, and writing and performing music.
